Un Chief Pledges Support To Borno State To Address Humanitarian Needs In Nigeria

United Nations Secretary-general Antonio Guterres Has Expressed His Commitment To Support Action To Alleviate The Suffering Of  Internally Displaced Persons (Idps) In Borno State In Northeastern Nigeria. On Tuesday He Spoke To Stakeholders  In Maiduguri, The  Capital Of Borno State And The Epicenter Of  Boko Haram. 

The Un Chief Expressed Concern At The Plight Of  People Affected By The Decades-long Insurgency And Called On The International Community To Support Borno State  In Addressing  Humanitarian Needs In North-eastern Nigeria. Guterres, Who Had Earlier Visited Senegal And Niger As Part Of His "Ramadan Solidarity Visit"
